The path to a better life starts here

At Ascension Parish, we believe the path to a better life is through Jesus. We understand that each faith journey is unique, and we seek to meet and support people wherever they are.
Everyone has a next step on their discipleship path.

2021 Catholic Appeal

Next weekend, parishes across the Archdiocese will launch the annual Catholic Appeal, which provides necessary funding for the more than 50 ministries that serve our parishes, schools, and communities, helping us all live our faith together. This is our Church, and when you support the Catholic Appeal, you are directly supporting our parish and all those who turn to our Church for assistance. Visit to learn more or make a donation.

Join us on our Lenten Journey

The number “40” has spiritual significance throughout the Bible: In preparing to receive the Ten Commandments, Moses stayed on Mount Sinai for 40 days and nights. Elijah walked 40 days and nights to the mountain of the Lord. Most importantly, Jesus fasted and prayed for 40 days and nights in the desert before beginning his public ministry.

The 40 days of Lent are a time of reflection, prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. When we take time to prepare our hearts for the Resurrection of Christ, we grow spiritually both personally and as a parish community.

A philosopher once said, “our ends are in our beginnings.” Consider how you’d like to grow in the days leading up to Easter and choose one or two next steps to get you there.

On our journey: prayer, fasting and giving

When you give to Ascension Parish, you support both Saint Bridget and Our Lady of Fatima churches. Your generosity enables us to grow our children's and youth faith formation programs, expand adult ministries and pastoral care and enhance our worship experience.

Homily Second Sunday of Lent

As we continue our Lenten journey, today we travel to Tabor for a mountaintop experience with our Lord.

His response will not be the same for all of us. He may come to you as a feeling, gentle tug, or inspiration through another. Or it might be something that others call a coincidence, but you know is something God sent especially for you.

If, then, you are looking for the way by which you should go, take Christ, because He Himself is the way.
